I loved “The Mouse and the Motorcycle” by Beverly Cleary.  This is the first of a three book series.  It is about a talking mouse who decides to talk to a boy.  When the boy leaves, he leaves his favorite toy motorcycle for Ralph the mouse to ride.  The mouse lives in a hotel.  I think ages 7-9 would be appropriate to read this book.

“Ralph S. Mouse” is the second book of the Mouse and the Motorcycle series.  Ralph the mouse decides to go to school with a boy living in his room.  He gets into trouble and finally finds a way to come home.

“Runaway Ralph” by Beverly Cleary is the last Mouse book in the series.  Ralph the mouse decides to run away from his family because his cousins, who are visiting him, are bothering him.  He finds it very annoying and leaves.  He finds it very hard in the wild.  Will he come home?

You have to read the book to find out.

kellenKellen – 5th Grade

I like the author, Roald Dahl.  I liked the book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” because it is funny.  It is about a boy who loves chocolate.  Every day he walks by a chocolate store, the Wonka store.  One day Willy Wonka sent out chocolate bars with golden tickets in them.  Well, I don’t want to spoil the book for you – so just read it!

I also loved the book “George’s Marvelous Medicine” by Roald Dahl.  It is about a boy trying to get his nasty grandmother away.  I think this book is good for ages 7-11.

The Book Club is a place where kids can share what they are reading.  Let us know why you would recommend (or not recommend) a book to other kids!

The book I read was “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” by J.K. Rowling.  This book was phenomenal!!  This is Harry Potter’s second year at Hogwarts School and also maybe his most dangerous yet!  The Chamber of Secrets has been opened and the beast is on the loose, but the Heir Slytherin can only open the chamber.  Can it be Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter, Hagrid, or Snape?!!

I recommend this book to everyone!  This book will be number one on your book list and you’ll regret it if you don’t read it.  This book has adventure, action, and friendship.  Also, the most important thing is it’ll be fun and it will improve your vocabulary with the spontaneous words that are sealed inside!
