valerieValerie – 2nd Grade – 95th St. School - Los Angeles

I love Junie B. Jones books.  My favorite book is Junie B. Jones smells something fishy.  There is going to be a pet day at school, but no dogs are allowed – and that is the only pet that Junie has.  What kind of pet can she bring?  This is a funny book.

asantAsant – 3rd Grade –96th St. School -  Los Angeles

The best books ever are “Captain Underpants” by Dav Pilkey.  They have cartoons and are about two boys in fourth grade that make comic books.  They have a mean principal and they turn him into Captain Underpants.  These are cool books and fun to read.

rosaRosa – 3rd Grade, 96th St. School – Los Angeles

I read “Goosebumps  - The Haunted Mask” by R. L. Stine.  It is a scary chapter book.  The reason it is scary is the girl gets a scary mask in the story.  Goosebumps are good books for kids ages 7 to 10 and both boys and girls like Goosebumps.

alfonsoAlfonso – 3rd Grade – 96th St. School in Los Angeles

My book was by Dr. Seuss and it was called “How The Grinch Stole Christmas”  The Grinch dressed up like Santa, and he dressed up his dog.  The Grinch wanted to steal Christmas from the Whos – he didn’t like Christmas.  He tried to steal Christmas but then his heart grew bigger and he liked the Whos and Christmas too.  This is the best book I ever read, and it has cool pictures too.

jesus1Jesus – 3rd Grade – 96th St. School – Los Angeles

Kobe Bryant is the best Laker player.  I wanted to read about him because I like to watch Laker games with my Dad.  I learned a lot about Kobe from this book.  I hope the Lakers win the championship.  I think all kids will like this book, even if they don’t cheer for the Lakers (but they should)

nathanNathan – 2nd Grade – Los Angeles

I read “It’s an Ants Life”.  The book is cool because it is about lots of ants.  I liked the Ant book and it is like you are an ant and what your life would be like.  I would recommend this book because it is fun to learn these things.

meredithMeredith – 1st Grade – Los Angeles

My book was funny.  It was called “The Fox and the Crow”  I liked this book because the fox wants to get the crow.  I read this book all by myself.

andyAndy – 3rd Grade – Los Angeles

I liked “Scary Stories to tell in the Dark”  by Alvin Schwartz.  I liked the part when a boy was digging at the edge of the garden and then he saw a big toe.  He tried to pick it up, but it was stuck to something so he pulled hard and it came off.  These stories were scary, so I would recommend them to kids that are 9 or 10 years old so little kids won’t get too scared.

destinyDestiny – 3rd Grade – Los Angeles

I read Barbara Park’s book “Junie B. Jones and the sneaky peeky spying”.  It was a great story.  It had lots of excitement.

carlosCarlos – 1st Grade – Los Angeles

I read the book “Spiders”  It had lots of cool pictures of spiders.  They have hairy legs.  There are lots of different kinds of spiders, I learned that from this book.

joseJose – 3rd Grade – Los Angeles

I liked the book “Zathura” by Chris Van Allsburg.  It is a good book to read.  It is about a game they play and they go to space, and a little robot got big and got very very mad.  Kids my age will like this book Zathura.

jesusJesus – 3rd Grade – Los Angeles

The best books of all are Goosebumps by R. L. Stine.  I’ve read many many Goosebumps books, so I can’t pick my favorite because I love them all.  They are fun and scary, but not too scary.  I want to read every Goosebumps that R. L. Stine has written.  I want him to write more Goosebumps so I can keep reading them.

ishacoirIshacior – 3rd Grade – Los Angeles

The Stinky Cheese Man is the best book I’ve ever read.  It sounds like it will be a stupid book, because it says “fairly stupid tales” in the title of the book, but really, it is a cool book and fun to read.  Kids my age will love this book.
