The book club is a place where kids can share what they are reading
Camden – 5th grade
I read “Baby Mouse” by Matthew Holm and Jennifer Holm. I think girls in 4th or fifth grade would like this book – it’s a comic book but it’s all about popularity and dressing in style – it’s a great book!
Christian – 5th Grade
“Brian’s Winter” by Gary Paulson was the book I read. I liked it when he met a kind man at the end of the book. I also liked the book because it told me that I can be brave like Brian. I liked the part of the book where Brian is alone in the woods and survives.
I would recommend this book because even if it is boring in the beginning, if you read it for fun and know what is happening it will become more fun to read. You should really check this book out!
Javin – 5th Grade
I liked the book “Chocolate Fever” by Robert Kimmel Smith. It was kind of a mystery to me. I just loved the book.
Jose – 5th Grade
My book is “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” by Mark Twain. I really liked it; the only thing I did not like was it was too short!
I think other kids would like it because it is fun and interesting. I liked when Tom tricks his friend to give him an apple and paint the fence for him!
Kristen – 5th Grade
I loved the book “New Moon” by Stephenie Meyer. I loved the whole Twilight Series of books. I would recommend this book to kids my age. I hope they really like it as much as I did. I really like the way Stephenie Meyer wrote this book, and all of her books.
Nick – 5th Grade
I liked the book “Captain Underpants” by Dav Pilkey. I liked the comedy. I don’t dislike anything about the story. You can read the books that fit your reading level.
Rina – 5th Grade
I read “Breaking Dawn” by Stephenie Meyer. I liked this book because it contains vampires and other fantasy stuff that’s kinda interesting. It could be read by other kids my age. All the parts were my favorite – my favorite characters are Emmet and Alice.
Sneha – 5th Grade
I read “Twilight” by Stephenie Meyer. I liked the descriptive words used by the author. It created a very vivid picture in my head. I felt like I was actually there. I would recommend this book to kids my age – it was a very good book!
Anna – 5th Grade
My book was “Look at Lucy” by Ilene Cooper. I liked the part in the story where Bobby goes shopping with his friend and finds the paper to the Pet Contest. This book kind of gives you a look on what a pet contest would be like. There’s nothing I didn’t like about the book – it’s great. I would recommend this book to people who are in third, fourth, and fifth grade. |
