My husband and I have adopted two cats – or rather – they have adopted us (since they rule the house and allow us to live there) June is always a dangerous month for me – since kitten season is here and there are adorable, fuzzy little faces popping up everywhere. I don’t even stop and look in a cardboard box outside of the supermarket anymore, because I know if I bring home another cat, the house is going to be a little too crowded. (Maybe we should just buy a bigger house?)
So I try to squelch my maternal instincts with cat books, and thank goodness, there are plenty out there. I am a sucker for photographs of adorable kitties, and here are some of my favorite books:
Cat Naps: The Key to Contentment Cat-titudes to Live By (Hardcover) by Rachael Hale and Smitten: A Kitten's Guide to Happiness by Rachael Hale Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World by Vicki Myron

It’s hard to believe that it is almost June, and graduation announcements are starting to show up in our mailbox. Whether you will be attending a kindergarten graduation, high school or college, here are some of my favorite books that make wonderful graduation gifts.
Oh The Places You’ll Go – by Dr. Seuss
Biscuit’s Graduation Day – Alyssa Satin Capucilli
What now? A little book of graduation wisdom – by Jennifer Leigh Selig
Ten things I wish I’d known before I went into the real world – by Maria Shriver
The Book of Graduation Wisdom: Advice for life from Maya Angelou, Mark Twain, Colin Powell, Eleanor Roosevelt, Bill Gates, and more that 125 other notables – by Edward Hoffman.
